At the conclusion of a lengthy trial in Middlesex County defended by the trial team of Donna Marcin and Toby Bright, the jury returned a defense verdict in a case involving allegations that our client, a labor and delivery nurse, mismanaged the labor of a patient causing a severe neurological injury to the child. In this case, the Defense put on convincing evidence that the labor and delivery nurse acted wholly appropriately, and that the injury the child suffered was due to an unfortunate perinatal stroke which occurred before our client became involved in the patients’ care.
