John Puleo and Joe DeBonis Publish Article in Massachusetts Bar Association Section Review

April, 2026

Congratulations to Attorneys John Puleo and Joe DeBonis on the publication of an article in the Massachusetts Bar Association’s March/April 2026 Section Review on a recent Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) case discussing both the procedural and substantive handling of medical malpractice cases in the Commonwealth.  In this article, Attorneys Puleo and DeBonis provide commentary on Quinteasha Dos Santos v. Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Milton, et al., 497 Mass. 24 (Jan. 6, 2026), in which the SJC addressed two aspects of medical malpractice cases: the potential impoundment of the plaintiff’s medical records, and the plaintiff’s evidentiary standard applicable to the offer of proof at the tribunal stage. The article discusses the importance of these two subjects and the likely development of further appellate review of these issues. Please see a link to the article below.
