Congratulations to Ryan McCarthy for a decisive trial victory in Suffolk Superior Court. In this case, the plaintiff alleged that she slipped and fell on a clear liquid in our defendant Hospital’s hallway due to no warning signs being posted. She sustained a torn meniscus of her left knee requiring surgery and alleged significant long-term damages as a result. Attorney McCarthy argued persuasively that our client had no notice of any liquid on the floor, had proper policies and procedures in place for monitoring the hallways and that the plaintiff’s knee injury was pre-existing. The jury returned with a defense verdict after only two hours of deliberations.
