Biography

Sean is a member of the firm’s Medical Malpractice, Professional Licensure and Healthcare Groups representing medical professionals and institutions involved in all facets of litigation and advocating for health care providers before the Boards of Professional Licensure.

Sean regularly appears in State and Federal Courts across the Commonwealth and frequently attends professional licensing matters and administrative hearings on behalf of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and dental care providers involved in licensing matters before the Bureau of Health Professions, including matters before the Board of Registration in Medicine (BORIM), Board of Registration in Dentistry (BORID) and the Board of Registration in Nursing (BORIN) and the Board of Allied Health Professionals. He also advocates for providers before the Unified Recovery and Monitory Program (URAMP) (formerly the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program –SARP), an Alternative-to-Discipline programs implemented through the Department of Public Health, and he represents Nurses, CRNA’s and Nurse Practitioners before the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Evaluation Committee (SAREC).

Prior to joining HMDR&S, Sean served as a legal intern for a large Health Care Network which managed several medical facilities and hospitals in Massachusetts and a Student Attorney with Greater Boston Legal Services. Sean subsequently gained valuable experience as an Attorney representing plaintiffs and defendants in a broad spectrum of civil litigation, employment, and insurance matters.

When away from the office, Sean is a devoted Boston sports fan and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
