After two full weeks of trial in Barnstable Superior Court, the trial team of Vincent Dunn and Tracy Luvisi obtained a verdict for our Defendant Radiologist. The plaintiff alleged a failure to recognize appendiceal abnormalities on abdominal CT studies claiming that an earlier diagnosis would have led to a complete cure. Over the course of the trial, the defense team was able to prove that the appendix was radiographically within normal limits and that earlier diagnosis would not have impacted the outcome. After deliberations, a jury of 14 returned a defense verdict in favor of our client.
